Why can't we just enjoy a time of prayer without being told I'm either overly pietistic or this is the standard by which I'm gauging how Christian you are? Go to church to receive a gift. Just enjoy reading the scriptures. Because it's good for the sake of itself. It's a good thing. So just receive it and enjoy it. And if you miss it one day, you misses it one day. But also, when you do it, the Lord is there to give you a gift. And it's something to just revel in and enjoy. The whole point of Christianity is that Christ has given everything that's His for you so that you could be free
