"The peripheral has many strengths a few we can say as well and not many people were talking about the peripheral but it was picking up audience so that was able to kind of creep through this hyper-competitive uh competition for attention," he says. "I realized that there's really two things that are going to make it very difficult for my kind of criticism to ever really break through on that channel now the YouTube algorithm is more mechanistic than I understood at that point in time."
