The Eclipses Are Key to Astronomy

Tycho's interest in astronomy solidified with a solar eclipse that occurred on August 21, 1560. Tycho became enthralled and wanted to learn how he too could make such predictions of the heavens. eclipses are key as they measure off periods of time and maybe even tell you this period of time has closed. And we've lost all that now, as far as I know.
