The Mystery of Erased Memories

In this chapter, they discuss Erwin's father's conclusion that people's minds must have had their memories erased. They find it crazy that no one has memories of what happened before a hundred years ago and question how nobody alive knows what happened in the past. They discuss the possibility of brainwashing and memory tampering, defending the theory that one person would be intelligent enough to guess it.
