Detention Without Trial and Torture

Prisoners were beaten often for hours at a time as frequently as possible without killing them in order to keep them in a compromised state of suffering doctors were kept on hand to ensure that the prisoners didn't die under torture. The inmates were denied basic medical care and so sores festered and skin rotted away because they were always filthy, forced to live in clothes soaked with blood excrement and other bodily fluids.
