The White Wolf and the Chinese Revolution of 1914
At the peak of his movement, the White Wolf commanded more than twenty thousand troops and ranged across five provinces. His supporters insisted that his violence only targeted those in power. Bylong was wounded in a battle in August and returned to his home village in Hunan, where he died.
