How to Be a Successful Runner
You have to get comfortable with a long steady discomfort that's not the discomfort of just like you know being in a slight oxygen jet. You need to go a little bit further than what your race or time is so if you're shooting for a two and a half hour marathon your long runs should have a couple of like three hours. There's I don't believe much correlation between having a fast to be a marathon or a successful one because we get all excited all the time about people who didn't train well, he says.
