The Meaning of Pride in the English Language

Before the das ifrights movement, pride carried a negative connotation. It meant being overly showy or showing off something to others. In my own life to day, i think about pride as a virtue. And that's because the geywright's movement has owned it and said, it's not about being showy or excess self regard. We're really happy though, like, there's the month of gay pride, and, you know, and there reclaiming of identity.
