The King fire in 2014 was one of the largest fires that had burned in California. It was started by a man named Wayne Huntsman who was not a firefighter but an arsonist. He swelteringly took video for his ex-girlfriend standing between two small smoldering blazes, starting to take off her clothes and set them alight. The videos went viral on social media as people shared their own stories about how they were able to get out of harm's way.

Once again: the world is on fire. As wildfires burn across Canada and their smoke pours down the continent, we thought it would be a good time to encore these Fire Ecology episodes.
