Ames and Poliakov: The Big Dump
The Big Dump was the genesis of a whole lot more money, either paid to Ames or promised to be paid. Among the names Ames handed over were kernels and majors, electronics engineers and diplomats. General Poliakov had been working for the United States for a long, long time. Codenamed Top Hat, Poliakov passed Soviet secrets over to the Americans for 18 years.
