The film has a very childlike quality. There's always this repetition of childhood unrest. The cinemotography almost has this picture book flatness to it. Almost everyone else, even if they're on the bad side temporarily, like trying their best. They think that what they're doing is right, and they eventually come to some realization that it's probably not.
