In 1902, Harry Wells Rusk sold out his interest in the company to Colonel Washington Bowie. Bowie had granted William Fold the only manufacturer license for Ouija boards. So not only was Fold the only man licensed to make and distribute Ouija boards, he also got the largest slice of the competitor market.
