Object Oriented Flows in JavaScript

In JavaScript you can't update an object in any sort of like meaningful way. If it's changed, it's a different thing. So I'm really curious to see what it would mean to be a beam trained developer through and through from the stone. And I think that's also sort of functional concept sneaking into the mainstream, or being an underpinning of computer science i guess.
