Culture of high alcohol consumption, pure pressure from other men to prove their sexual prowess and men's own attitudes favor impersonal sex. Mary coss points out that campuses have a situational risk factor for sexual use. Part of the reason few of her respondents considered themselves sexual offenders is that they faced no negative consequences,. No accusation, no shame, no punishment. And in the case of teresa, it appeared that to distance themselves from the problem was equally as important.
