The Midlife Crisis

Most people reach this point anywhere between say 30 and 50 years of age some earlier and we call them an old soul. We undergo a shift in our struggle as we enter midlife or what the union scholar James Hollis calls the middle passage. Once the sheer pulse of life so strong in us during our youth begins to be tempered by the weight of our commitments more of our sensitivities begin to break through. New demons then emerge bitterness anger jealousy in a sense of having been cheated.
