Rails Engines: The Way to Decompose Your Monolith

Gusto: rails engines are great solutions to modularization as well. And that's what gusto started with throughout this whole journey to decompose our monolith. Sometimes if you're working in a rails engine, you may want to call to an existing system that is not yet an engine. So I like to kind of think of it as potentially a path that can get you there to an engine.
