I work mostly on antibiotic resistance and that's specifically thinking about bacteria. When they become resistant it means that the bacteria can grow in the presence of the antibiotic. One of the issues we face is an over-reliance on these treatments opening them up to pathogenic evolution. There are huge implications here. We're aware that we have to do better at protecting some of them because they're more essential for treating infections globally.
