The Confederacy's Rebel Sergeant
There were no vultures and that surprised me. There lay a large rebel sergeant. One of our mini balls had passed through his head so quick that it dislocated all the Confederacy there was in it. Flies are the big, big thing in terms of animal life on bodies. The weird thing for me is no buzzards. And pigs, pigs have amazing noses and there was no time to bury the dead very deeply. Most of them were buried under military regulations for quick burial and hot weather. Only three feet deep. Pigs can dig that up apparently. I don't know much about pigs, but apparently they're great diggers. Revenge for bacon, huh? Yeah.
