Sally Kohn: What do you get out of a history textbook that's taught to children in American classrooms? She says textbooks encapsulate the way Americans think about themselves, their values and aspirations. Kohn: For younger students, it is a convenience; once you get to college, a textbook isn't necessarily demanded.
