Is Basilirman a Better Director Than Verhoeven?

I think to me I think what he was trying to do is just make a badass movie and then kind of have some intellectual component to it. And I think you don't like the way that it lands in the balance of it. Like for me I'm able to remove like take a step back look at the missteps realize that there's kind of some fuzziness but then appreciate where it does work and just like kind of laugh and enjoy it. But that's pretty high like in the spectrum of all directors on earth like he's not movie bowl like he's like leagues ahead of a movie bowl.
