Sinn Fein's Vetting of Jonathan Dowdahl
Jonathan Dowdahl told how he felt someone had been filtering information or rumors about him to Sinn Fein. This sparked an inbound inquiry from the party as to his involvement in this shooting incident at his uncle's house. The housing spokesman, Brian Keene, agreed that a meeting took place before the 2014 general election but did not say when it happened. But there is a convergence on the question of whether the meeting occurred. Jack O'Brien: It seems to be more damaging in some ways for Sinn Fein if they are linked with gangland crime than physical force of republicanism.
