The Importance of Variance and Luck in Football
I think variance and luck is a much larger part of why teams win or lose any individual game than we want it to be as analysts. And so even if I believe the Brandon Staley's Chargers have been unlucky in like the Raiders game and in the Jaguars game, win one. It sucks that wins are on a quarterback stat. Wins are a head coach stat. They have to be a somebody stat. That's who that's that's who they belong to when the win loss record is a headCoach stat. If you made this argument after 2021, I would agree with you. You're not going to get an edge from Mike Tomlin because he was a different coach last year but
