The Politics of the Situation
A huge percentage of the mass shooters are between, like, 18 and 22. If you moved that age, a chunk of those would not be able to go just walk in and buy an a r 15. And i think that any thing would be a big deal, because it will be a recognition of two things: ok, this's a problem. This is not how it should be, and that the political process can take steps to at least ameliorate the problem.
