Is This a Microservice?
A large fraction of microservices don't need to be full fledged microservices. Materialize is making it easy for users to build, maintain and evolve. We want to take care of the low hanging fruit to leave users to specialize on the top 20% where it's truly differentiated. But it's similar to databases. Databases don't make your backend server obsolete. What you're doing is you're no longer. Worrying about Do I have to keep sorting my data so I can efficiently access this? That's what the database does.
