The Backlog of Small Boat Asylum Applications
Only 10% of small boat asylum applications had received a government decision as of the 31st of December last year. Of those that had received a decision, 87% were successful. Afghan, Iranian, Iraqi and Syrian have higher than average success rates. But there's a huge backlog of applications being processed at the moment.
