It, I think, is most corrosive of trust, the sense that the Americans can't be trusted with sensitive information about their plans. The disclosure that special forces from several NATO countries are operating in Ukraine will make it easier for Russia propaganda to say NATO is directly implicated and directly taking part in the conflict.
