The open plan office was an attempt to solve for the average, and it ended up creating a space which was neither one thing nor the other. It wasn't solitude and it wasn't sociability. The value of flexible working is that what we discover is something that never occurred to us. They're not monotonous. You oa license to be a bit noisier generally. Exactly. And it's one of those things that i think you discuss brilliantly, which is, we literally don't know what we don't know. So the only way we can discover it is by experimentation.
