In the 80s and 90s, there were a group of psychologists who were very involved in trying to integrate like Eastern and Western insights about the nature of the psyche. John Wellwood came up with this observation that was really from working with a lot of people who were very spiritual. It's kind of a slightly different angle on this idea of how we're showing up in the world.
Conspirituality co-author Julian Walker joins us to discuss how influencers have curdled New Age spirituality and wellness with the politics of paranoia.
