I had a transforming experience of the expansive power of meta when i was first doing the practice in india. At that time, i was living in the burmese vihara in bodgaya and there was this old gardener whom i saw every single day. And i realized i had no feelings about him, whatever. He could have been a tree. It had nothing to do with him. So i started doing the matter for him all day long, every day, you know, may you be happy, maybe free of danger.
