The Importance of Accepting Our Sins
Matt: Shame can be okay when it's done well, but then there are ways to kind of navigate it without drawing too much attention. He says the reason for one not being able to receive Holy Communion is because of our own choice. Matt: I do think this sort of habit or the what the custom of coming up in the line for Holy Communion with arms crossed for a blessing is actually detrimental. And as a priest, I find it to be a little distracting when I'm trying to distribute the blessed sacrament reverently.
