Coaches don't have to know the exact skill that you're coaching, but they can translate it into something actionable. Analogy and metaphors contain within them a tremendous amount of information. The arbiter of that learning then, is a coach. And so my job is to respect the relationship,. It's a sacred relationship and learn how in there to influence without interrupting or interfering. Internal cuing improves bonds between client and contest; external cuing asks the client to retreat from the context - this breaks down the whole thing.
