The Power of Prayer in Tongues

Speaking in tongues is so powerful because it makes no sense to your brain. It's just like turning on this dynamo, the power of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you. You cannot pray in tongues an hour at a time with your mind still on all of this junk that goes on. Your mind will get to wandering and you will stop doing it. For you to pray in tongues for a prolonged period of time, it makes you focus on God.
