The Importance of Distance in Training

Max: Distance alone doesn't actually tell the coach or the coach mostly how the athlete is responding to the training. You might say, you're gonna run 50 miles for three weeks. That's gonna be a steady three week block. And the coach assumes that each week is doing the same thing to the athlete. But again, for a number of reasons, it might not. Max: To only speak in the metric of distance or volume whilst as you suggest it or infer their max volume does have a place,. It is a training variable that when manipulated can have outcomes on performance but that it can be misleading.
