The Frustration of a Calie Dance
I recorded all of the musicians, put them onto magnetic tape and then put that tape on my studio roof in London on the hottest day. So as the music is arguably becoming more hopeful, underneath the fidelity is getting worse. By the seventh movement, it is more fragile than ever. This is the tipping point in the record. It's movement five, and you hear a whole lot of voices that are all slightly sunburned, and they're breaking up. Thirty-four days of age of three-and-a-half. Act or die.
