The percentage of private prisons in the country is actually around eight per cent. For ice detention, for about forty per cent of those facilities are privately run. The c o group is one of the biggest private prison companies in the country. Some people who have been detained there have said that they have not been paid. And they have actually been paid in extra food. We need to get rid of private prisons. But this wind does not mean the end of incarceration.
