The red signal was the eighth episode of 10 and it aired on the 2nd of November 1982. This is a much more traditional adaptation of an Ag of the Christie story. Joanna David played the unnamed narrator in an adaptation of Rebecca, Daphne DuMorye's Rebecca, just three years earlier in 1979. She also appeared in the Joan Hickson 450 from Paddington, this Emma Krakenthorp. And she guest starred in Morse, May Gray, Foyles War, the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series.
