Sonia: In some ways, it's almost conterintutive to say that we actually want to hold this pleasurable thing at bay in order to draw out the happiness we can derive from it. Sonia has also studied techniques to limit unhappiness, or at least to make it end more quickly. One of them is putting down negative experiences in a journal. She says writing forces you to kind of think about your life of experiences in a systematic way and helps you process those experiences.
