Is It Possible That a Noth Immortality Is a Gratuitous Gift From God?

Aquinas seems to say the brutes won't survive death precisely because they're not rational. Soe could getget into that in a lot of different directions, but i think we may already have an example of a race like that. But it surely seems possible to me, especially in light f that insecale and that i that it's not t inherit to even rational creatures.
