The Mysterious Non-Frozen Tree

There's a theory that the cabin is on top of some kind of mining construction. Hot springs which have kept him warm would explain why he hasn't looked quite as roughed up. The idea is there might be some metal in the ground that is leaching into the ground and making them hallucinate. And it goes into the mysterious non-frozen tree and some other stuff.
