How to Keep Yourself Alive When You Have Cirrhosis
When you damage the liver for long periods of time, with any noxious stimuli, basically the liver starts to lay down scar tissue. And over time, you get enough scar that the liver can no longer fix itself anymore. It ends up as this kind of lumpy, bumpy mess that doesn't work real well. The one thing that has clearly been shown to work is weight loss.
