Irtubal Binge Syndrome - Is There a Treatment for It?
There are medications that induce secretion of water into the colon for patients with constipation. There is no specific test for irtubal bowel syndrome but once other conditions have been ruled out such as malignancies and inflammatory conditions or other problems, it can be treated with fairly simple measures like stool hygiene and treatment with fiber or laxatives. I'd like to thank Dr. Michael Camillieri from the Mayo Clinic for writing the review and talking with us today in JAMA clinical reviews.
