The New York Times Got Me Out of a Sticky One

CNN's Jake Tapper says the New York Times got him out of a sticky one with Iran Contra. He points to an 1988 report that said drug trafficking played a key role in financing the Contras. The report didn't mention drugs, but it did say there was evidence they were used as part of supply chains for arms and other supplies. "I don't know if there's a better example of dodging a bullet" than this, he says.
