I think in Asia, people are very concerned with keeping up appearances and looking like a certain type of way. And then they just don't talk about the 'elephant in the room' Like there's a lot of elephants in the room constantly. I moved to the UK when I was 16 and have had vastly different experience from Chinese people who had grown up in the UK. Siaspora Asians struggle to get to the same point as me due to their lived experience.
