The North Pond Hermit's Dilemma

Neighbors would attest to a strange behavior and he had peeping Tom tendencies. When he would he looked very dirty and disheveled unlike our friend the North Pond Hermit who kept up appearances. So what I did is being dirty and ungroomed would not emerge from his land for a long time. Would come and ask what day and year it was.
