I think one of the magical things about having a place to put down your notes is it just makes the whole learning process more active. I'm rarely in a situation where I have to create something about a topic that I have zero notes about. Sometimes it happens, but those times are few and far between because I have a lot of interests. It's really one of the biggest enemies of any sort of creative to look at a blank page,. And to start with nothing, that is just so rough.

Nicole van der Hoeven is a YouTuber, developer advocate for k6, and Dungeons and Dragons lover. For the last five months, she has organized her life inside of task and knowledge management app Obsidian. We discuss how she uses Obsidian for her YouTube creation, Dungeons and Dragons playing, friendships, and consulting. We talk about how many second-brainers overcomplicate their systems. All it is is taking notes.
