Judaism has a sort of weird alargy, even in cabala, to speculating about the future. The idea is that for every year that you calculate from now the massia will come, god pushes the coming of the messiah back many years. So i so the idea is twofold in kabala: One is either the world will be made a fit place for the messiah by human effort, and the messiah will simply walk through the door.
