The Importance of Disfluency

I think disfluency is very important. I remember in Australia when I was studying law, I met a lot of high court judges who were well into their 90s because they've continued to engage in topics and types of thinking that required a lot of effort. We do very little arithmetic now, we pick up our iPhones, we hit the calculator button and we do that instantly without having to think about it.
