How to Prepare for a Speech

I write down my main points and I'll have that on a small piece of paper, either in my pocket or on a table in front of me. Then usually it's a breathing practice. And then saying things like, you've got this, you're well prepared for this. There's someone in here that you're meant to help. So that's the person you're speaking to. Just repeating those things in my mind. Because my mind goes crazy. If I don't take control of my mind, I'm in trouble. so I just need to be mentally proud of myself before I walk on the stage.
