The Perennial Philosophy

The perennial philosophy is an attempt to describe the nature of our essential being. But if it gets mixed up with the exotic natures of these cultures and limited to those cultures, there's a lot that is worthy of being rejected in those statements. A lot of people don't discriminate between what is the core understanding and what is the local temporal packaging in which it is being expressed. And so we could imagine trying that we would like future generations to have better statements of the perennial philosophy than we have today.
