Is Price Inflation Getting More Expensive?

Inflation is not just something in particular getting more expensive. Some kind of shock might cause some good to be difficult to make. Maybe something might become more expensive, but consumers will often shift to something else. And so that's not a change in the overall price level in the economy. But any other good in the economy, it's just negligible inflation if that one thing goes up and it's usually going to be temporary.
